You Can Make a Difference

Membership

  • The fundamental difference between our organization and other veterans organizations, and one in which we take great pride, is our eligibility qualifications.

  • VFW welcomes all who meet our eligibility criteria. It’s through service to this country that all our membership has earned their elite status.

  • If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you’re eligible to join our ranks.

  • Join us at a meeting (see "Meeting" page on this website) or contact us to see if you're eligible to join our post and to find out our very easy process to join the VFW or transfer your membership from another VFW post.

MEMBERSHIP

VFW membership is open to honorably discharged veterans, active duty or Reserve personnel who have served in the armed forces in any foreign war, insurrection or expedition that is recognized as campaign medal service and governed by the authorization of the issuance of a campaign badge (medal) by the United States Government.


VFW Post 175 welcomes the veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom / Operation Enduring Freedom / GWOT and will pay the second-year dues for these new members.


Dues are $30 annually.  Life memberships are also available. Post 175 will pay one half the cost of the lifetime VFW membership (after six unit activities) and many people in our post have taken advantage of this unique offer for lifetime membership.
